Lucas (German, Irish Danish, Dutch) is derived from Lucius – (Latin) Light; bringer of light. Both Scott and I love this name and while I may never give in to the nickname Luke, we are excited for the arrival of our little boy, Lucas Sim Forbes.

In reading some of the great baby name books we have received, we have picked out a few more possible names. Girls – Adair, Bryce, Drew, Hailey, Isable, Kaylee, Madison, Mackenzie, Zoe Boys – Avery, Braden, Dylan, Hunter, Ian We hope to find out the sex of our baby peanut on Wednesday.

Family names have become increasingly important to me over the years and I find myself drawn to using family names for our children.  Thankfully Scott welcomes the idea.
