Sleep and cabbage leaves

For the past two nights Scott has taken the nightshift with Lucas and given me the amazing chance to get a full night of uninterrupted sleep.  It has been amazing and each morning I wake up feeling refreshed and ready for the upcoming day.  I drink my morning coffee slowly, enjoying the flavor, instead of my usual gulp for the much needed caffeine rush.  I am constantly reminded how wonderful my husband is and how thankful I am that God put him in my life.

So an update in weaning.  Up until two days ago, weaning was extremely difficult for me.  It always seemed like Lucas wanted to nurse and I was becoming increasingly frustrated because when he did nurse it was an assault of pinching, kicking and hair pulling.  Finally we made the decision that Lucas was ready to be done with breastfeeding and he hasn’t nursed in two days.  He is doing remarkably well with this and may even be sleeping better because of it.  I am in a good bit of pain because of the sudden stop but am not experiencing any migraines like I did when i first started weaning.

And although I keep on trying, the cabbage leaves in my bra seem to be doing little else but causing me to realize why they don’t make Cabbage by Calvin Klein.

Cabbage by CK is actually a internet success. Unfortunately, once people actually smell it they never want to smell anything ever again. Ever.
