Dedication Prayer

Thank you God for giving us the incredible gift of Lucas. We thank you for the blessing he is and will be in the life of his mother, father, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and all who know him.

We acknowledge the responsibility you have given us. Give us the strength, wisdom, and love to live as examples before him.

In this world there are constant detours that try to lead us from God’s path. Walk closely with Lucas daily as he grows and be evident before him. Give him a desire to know and serve you and use him as a vessel of your spirit.

Breathe into him, Holy Spirit, that his thoughts may all be holy. Move in him, Holy Spirit, that his work, too, may be holy. Attract his heart, Holy Spirit, that he may love only what is holy. Strengthen him, Holy Spirit, that he may defend all that is holy. Protect him, Holy Spirit, that he may always be holy.

Again, we thank you and ask in your holy name that you bless our beloved child and make him the man you desire him to become.
