Thankful

For no particular reason, this morning was tough for me to wake up.  Lucas really wanted to be awake at 6 am and I really wanted to be asleep.  But when Lucas wants to be awake, he usually gets his way (for now).  So Lucas and I left the nursery and went to play on the floor in the family room.  As I lay (half asleep) on the floor with Lucas ohhing and ahhing, kicking his legs and moving his arms around, the Lord gave me amazing peace.  I immediately called Scott to thank him for all his hard work.

As the mom, I often get kuddos on the time I spend with Lucas, but the Lord laid it upon my heart to thank Scott for all the hard work that he does, both at home and at work.

Here are just a few things that Scott does that I am thankful for:

• Encourages me
• Cleans the kitty litter and the occasional cat throw-up
• Takes care of the finances
• Mows and waters the lawn
• Wakes up at 3 am to help clean a diaper after a super poop
• Encourages me to read more
• Getting Lucas to take naps in his swing
• Researching and getting great deals on our camera and camcorder (and all other electrical devices)
• Bringing home the bacon
• Being a Godly husband and father
• Thanking me for my hard work
• Creating a budget that allows me to stay at home

There are a ton more but Lucas is waking up from his nap which means I need to feed a hungry baby.
